Tufano's delighted our group of FORTY PEOPLE tonight in a 4 hour extravaganza of amazing food and incredible service by Alli and her team in their beautiful patio setting on a gorgeous night! Every appetizer, every entree, and every dessert was homemade and fabulous! Impeccable wine service, too. As more of our friends showed up, they kept adding tables for us. The only thing that could improve it is if we could stay another four hours, and do it all, again!!! TEN STARS ON A 5 STAR RATING! Grazie Mojo

I have been going to this restaurant since I first moved to Chicago in the mid-80s and, although I love other Italian spots in the city, this is by far my all-time favorite. It's all locals and some UC sports pre-gamers, no tourists. I bring everyone who visits me from back home to Tufano's and they love it.
Sausage & peppers. Best in Chicago. Slight charring makes it unique. I've been told by dining companions that other offerings on the menu are delicious, but I've never tried any of it. No reason to distract me from my one true love.
Like going to someone's cozy home for family dinner. Have great, delicious, tasty, home-cooked meals, great service, great bar! In the summer... eat outside!
I went to Tufanos yesterday for a birthday party. The food was fantastic. Salad, fried calamari, stuffed shells, meatballs and chicken over linguini. They removed the pine nuts from the chicken dish due to my tree nut allergy. Very nice and no one even missed the pine nuts. They did a great job!
Came in on a night of a hawks game and loved seeing the buzz at this place. It was crowded but we got a table with no wait and I love that valet service. I went with a group of Irish friends who were not down to order a bunch of things and split so I will have to go back with some Italians calamari was fresh and cooked well. My D&D pasta was good but I wish I ordered a meatball or sausage on the side to go with it. Another old school Italian place reminded me of sitting in my grandparents kitchen listening to a hockey game and eating good food.
This is a classic and historical Italian restaurant in Chicago. I like that you can see all the pictures of different celebrities who have stopped by over the years. The food was good with smaller portion sizes and free bread to start. I would recommend it for a family meal or quick bite, not necessarily for a date. This restaurant is cash only.
